Description:
SL890 has a blade made of folded 1060 maru in shinogi zukuri geometry. It has a bohi and the blade is finished with reddish black coat which covers the folded steel hada of the blade. This coating also makes the blade more resistant to corrosion. The fittings are made of brass and the tsuba has an intricate dragon design. The saya is made clear-lacquered, brown, hardwood and its very nice wood grain together with the brown, cotton ito very well complements the coating of the blade. The koiguchi, kurikata and kojiri are made of polished, black buffalo horn.
